The session includes: mindful art making, mindfulness of the body and loving kindness practices and group reflection.
You are welcome to attend if you are a beginner, or more experienced, to either meditation and/or art making.
Art materials will be provided and you can also bring your own.
Nicky was inspired to train as an art therapist following her time volunteering in Sri Lanka after the 2004 Tsunami, where she facilitated groups which enabled people to use images and words to express and process their experiences. In 2008 she obtained her MA in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths University.
She has practised mindfulness meditation since 2004, which she has found to be of immense personal value. From 2013-14 she completed a year-long mindfulness teacher training with The Mindfulness Training Institute, with Martin Aylward and Mark Coleman. In 2015 she attended Mindfulness and Individual Therapy Training at Bangor University. She currently teaches mindfulness to individuals and groups, offers therapeutic mindfulness mentoring, and runs in-house company mindfulness training. Further Information
